Are you ready?

Many have heard the expression "we are living in the last days". Look around; things are happening at an alarmingly fast pace and the signs of the times are evident. And to make things even more alarming, we have been seeing the results of what doomsday hysteria is doing as people believe the false prophesies of those stating that the world is ending.

Since 1975 I have been hearing this. As a kid, you tend to believe it when an adult tells you something like that because after all, why would an adult lie to a child? Well I dealt with plenty of lies from adults when I was a kid, but I'm no longer there; I'm in the present age where wisdom has been imparted and deposited into my spirit from the Word of the Lord who has not and does not lie. Therefore I know what the truth is in accordance to that which was spoken by Him over 2000 years ago and thus live my life in following His teachings in the present age.

We have all seen the direction in which the world is going, and it is not pretty. Some of the Biblical Prophecies have been fulfilled while others have yet to be. In the book of Matthew, Yeshua (Jesus) spoke to His disciples about what must take place before His return which continues further in the book of 1 Thessalonians, what signs to look out for before He comes for us who He calls His Bride, and what will happen when He comes:

*The coming of Christ will be instantaneous and worldwide. "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." —Matthew 24:27

The coming of Christ will be visible to all. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." —Matthew 24:30

The coming of Christ will be audible. "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." —Matthew 24:31

The resurrection of the righteous will occur. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." —1 Thessalonians 4:16

In one single event, the saved who are alive at Christ's coming will be caught up together with the resurrected to meet the Lord in the air. "Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." —1 Thessalonians 4:17*

Jesus wanted all of us to know what to expect so that when that time comes, we would be ready and through His Holy Word, He has provided us with instructions on how to live while we are here. And what is so beautiful is this; His love for us is so deep and so real that He knew that the only way for us to be saved from what must take place after His return, was for Him to become our Sacrifice so that when He came back, He can take us with Him and we would not be left behind.

Over 2000 years ago He was born into this world, Emanuel; God With Us. He dwelt among us in the flesh; He experienced everything that we struggle with and against day to day. He felt the joy of laughter and the sorrow of tears. He experienced temptation and mourned with us with the passing on of loved ones. He performed miracles and He preached. He experienced life with us so that He could fulfill His mission through His death and ressurection, to save mankind not so much from trials (for He did tell us that we would endure those), but from eternal damnation. He said this; “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die." [John 11:25 - 26]

In His death, He took on all our sins which opened the path for us to enjoy complete fellowship with the Father, which had been blocked when sin entered into the world.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." [John 3:16]

"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ!

Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous." [Romans 5:12, 15 - 19]

Have you accepted this gift of life from Him? Many say it was a free gift, but it was not, it cost Yeshua more than we will ever know, but that is how much He loved and loves us.

Some seek other avenues of religions beliefs or spiritual enlightenment. Many look at things for example, according to the Mayan calender which proved to have been false...we are still here. Harold Camping predicted the end of the world on May 21, 2011...nope, still here. Ron Weinland predicted the end of the world on May 27, 2012...nope, still here. The list goes on and on, and their will probably be more yet, not one of those have come into manifestation and there is a reason for that.

The Word of God says that we know not the day or hour that Christ will return. We are told what events will take place before that day, but as far as the when that it will happen...no one knows. But when that day comes, will we be ready? Eternal life with the one who saved us from eternal damnation...wow, with an offer like that, how can we turn away from Him? His Word is infallible, His Word is Truth.

The offer is on the table for us all, straight from the heart of Yeshua, the greatest exchange in all of human history; trading a life of sin that will lead to death, for a path that leads to life.
